Uttara Kalamrita

उत्तरकालामृत

A late classical text attributed to Kalidasa, known for its concise treatment of planetary significations, yogas, and divisional charts.

Uttara Kalamrita is a classical Vedic astrology text attributed to Kalidasa — the South Indian astrological author of the post-16th-century period, distinct from the classical Sanskrit poet of the same name. In its nine sections (kalamritas) it is especially known for a concise, well-tabulated treatment of planetary significations (karakatvas), yogas, and the use of the divisional charts.

It is a comparatively late text that distills and arranges material from the earlier tradition; its lists of significations are among the most frequently referenced in practice.
